Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Grain & Grit Apparel. We’re committed to providing high-quality products and a great customer experience. This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds or exchanges may be issued in accordance with Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act and relevant Canadian e-commerce laws.

1. General Policy

 

Due to the nature of apparel manufacturing, printing, and hygiene considerations, we generally do not offer refunds or exchanges unless the product arrives:

 

  • Damaged

  • Defective

  • Incorrect (wrong size, wrong item, or misprint)

 

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for:

 

  • Buyer’s remorse

  • Sizing mistakes made by the customer

  • Wear and tear, misuse, or washing damage

  • Custom or made-to-order items (unless defective)

 

This ensures quality control and fair, consistent handling of all orders.

2. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

 

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery with the following:

 

  • Order number

  • Photo(s) of the item showing the issue

  • Brief description of the problem

 

Once approved, we will offer one of the following:

 

  • Replacement of the item (preferred)

  • Refund to your original payment method

  • Store credit

 

We may request that damaged or incorrect items be returned before a replacement or refund is issued. If a return is required, we will cover shipping costs for returns of defective or incorrect items.

3. Non-Returnable Items

 

For health, safety, and production reasons, the following items are final sale:

 

  • Apparel that has been worn, washed, or altered

  • Items without original tags

  • Clearance items

  • Custom or made-to-order pieces

  • Digital products (if applicable)

 

4. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled only if they have not yet entered production or shipped.

 

Because most items are printed on demand, production usually begins quickly. If your order has already been processed, cancellation is no longer possible.

5. Refund Processing Time

 

If approved, refunds will be processed within:

 

  • 3–7 business days for payments made with major credit cards

  • Times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider

 

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless we made an error with your order.

6. Return Shipping

 

If a return is required for an approved issue:

 

  • We cover return shipping for defective, damaged, or incorrect items

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping for all other cases

    (Only if exceptions apply — normally we don’t allow discretionary returns at all.)

 

Unauthorized returns will not be refunded.

7. Exchanges

 

Because all apparel is produced in small batches or made-to-order, exchanges for size or color are generally not available unless the original item was defective or incorrect.

8. Lost or Stolen Packages

 

Once an order is marked “Delivered” by the carrier, Grain & Grit Apparel is not responsible for:

 

  • Stolen packages

  • Packages delivered to the wrong address due to customer error

 

If a package is lost in transit (not delivered), we will assist in filing a claim with the carrier and may issue a replacement depending on the circumstances.
